We finally made it!! THE OCEAN!!!!

Sorry, this is a major picture dump, but I'm so behind on posting and I really wanted to post about this. These are pictures from our trip in August.

After 5 days of driving we finally made it to Oregon!! My dad's side of the family have been going to the Oregon Coast for a family reunion for a really long time. I have such amazing memories of these trips. It was so wonderful to finally go again with all my sisters all their kids and my mom. I love and miss all my aunts, uncles, cousins and their families and wish we lived closer.

Google headquarters and the Golden State Bridge

Alan works on Android devices for work. The green guy is Android. Each year Google creates a new operating system. It has a new name every year that is a sweet treat and they do it in alphabetical order. Some of them are cupcake, doughnut, ice cream sandwich.

Our summer travels!

The last 2 weeks of summer vacation we took a 2 week driving vacation to the Oregon coast and Idaho. It's a 35 hour drive from here to the coast, so we thought we would have some fun along the way and drive up the California coast to get there. For the most part the kids were great. We did break a few laws to keep Ammon happy. There is a highway in California called Highway 1 where you drive right next to the ocean for a few hours. We were excited to drive this, but unfortunately I ended up getting motion sickness, it was still pretty. Here are some pics of the kids in the car and some of the beautiful sights we saw as we were driving.

 

Olympic training center!

A few weeks ago we took a trip to Colorado Springs and went to the Olympic training center. It was really interesting. We met some wrestlers and swimmers that are 2016 hopefuls. The center is one of three in the US. It is the biggest one out of the three.

 

Dancing Sammy

Samantha has been taking a dance class since September. The class was split into Ballet, Tap and Jazz so the girls could get familiar with different types of dance. Starting back in January they started learn there dance for their big recital in may.

 Samantha had her first dance recital last Sunday. They did a dance called tapping ladybugs. She did such a good job. I have a real love of dance and it's fun watching my daughter dance now.
