A glimps into three
On every other Monday for two months I baby sat our neighbors baby, Wyatt. This past Monday was my last time doing it. I thought it would be a good chance to see what it would be like when we had three of our own, but watching some one else's new born is alot different then taking care of your own especially when I saw him one time every 2 weeks.

Wyatt is our neighbors first baby, so they do the normal first time parent things, well Alan and I did it at least, they hold him all the time, even when he is sleeping. You can't blame them, who doesn't want to just sit and hold your baby all day, but when you need to work and have some else watch the baby you can't do that. I would've loved to holed him the entire time I had him, but with a 4 year old and 18 month old that just wasn't possible, so he cried probably way more then his parents let him. He also didn't ever eat very well for me, but it still was nice having a baby around.
The kids really loved having him here. They were both very helpful especially Samantha. She absolutely loves babies. She wants to hold them and feed them and kiss them. I hope she still feels that way when we have an other one of our own someday. Other then him not being the happiest baby it was nice when he was a sleep and the kids were being good so I could holed for a while. There is nothing like holding a sleeping baby.

A new Calling
I was called to be the Young women's president at the end of June. When I got the calling I asked Alan if we were ready for this and he said do we have much choice, no we really didn't. There have been many feels of inadequacy and many instance of being overwhelmed. I was called at a busy time with youth conference right around the corner from when I was called, that we had to plan and then stake girls camp a couple of weeks later. Things have finally settled down and I'm feeling great.
So far Alan has stepped right up and taken care of the kids when ever I needed him to. He also got a new calling so he can watch Samantha the last hour of church. He teaches the 14-17 year olds sunday school class. The youth are getting a double dose of the Chase family.
I've had many promptings from the spirit that have assured me that this is the calling I am suppose to have. Heavenly Father has given me many sweet moments with the girls in the short amount of time that I have been serving in this calling and I know why I was called and I look forward to serving these girls. I absolutely love them and the women that serve along side me. I wouldn't minding being in this calling for a while.
Our Youth Conference this year was ward only. We planned a day long event up at canyon lake with a theme of Choose you this day. We didn't have alot of youth come, but those that did come had alot of fun. Swimming in the lake, games, tie dying t-shirts, a couple of love connections, food, roasting mashmellows and a 3 hour long car ride home when it was only suppose to take a hour and half.
Girls camp was awsome! I was really nerves about leaving the kids over night for the first time, but once again Alan stepped up. He watched the kids from wednesday afternoon till saturday afternoon with no probablems. I was a little sad that they didn't miss me more. I had a great time and was kind of sad to go home. I look forward to next year.

Picture Perfect
In no way, shape or form I'm I a photographer, but I do enjoy taking pictures of my family just hang out around the house or on vacation. I love plugging my memory card into the computer and seeing what turns up. Usually they are sub pare and pass for okay pics, but occasionally I get some really great ones. Where the lighting is great, the coloring is amazing and the kids or the object of that picture looks just right. Here are the ones so far from this year that I think would qualify, also the family pics from Cape Cod that I posted earlier.

First Bike
We bought Luke his first bike a few weeks ago. He was so excited to get on it. He did pretty good that first day. We haven't taken him out on it for a while because it has been so hot here even early in the morning. We still can't believe that he is old enough for his first bike.
