Our history of cars

This is the car we had when we were first married. I know, cool car right. We had a few problems with it and in 2005 the transmission went out and that was the end of our sports car. Good thing too because we found out a couple of weeks later that we were pregnant with Luke and there was no way we could fit a car seat in its shelf of a back seat.

This is the car we bought next. This was a great car for us and had some sentimental value. We bought Luke home from the hospital in it. It protected us in an accident that in most situations there would of been more damage to the car and us. It got us safely to Texas and we brought Samantha home into. After a great 5 years with the car it was time to say farewell. This last year it had some problems, Alan wasn't aways sure it was going to turn on and towards the end it would come home smelling like gasoline and you could smell upstairs in Sammy room, so we have moved on.

Our new car, a 2011 Toyota Camry. We looked forward to having this car for a long time.

Luke's preschool Halloween party, Pumpkin patch and trunk or treat

This year Halloween was kind of low key around here. Alan and I weren't feeling that great, we didn't decorate and as you all know Halloween was on Sunday so we didn't take the kids out, but they still had a good time with the few things we do.
Luke had a Halloween party for preschool the Wednesday before Halloween. The moms and siblings were invited, so Sammy and I spent the morning with look playing games, eating good food and watching Garfield's Halloween. After the party we went to a pumpkin patch near by and the kids got to jump around in the bouncy houses and take a pumpkin home.
On Saturday night our ward had trunk 0r treating. Sammy had a great time and wanted to keep going around, but Luke got scared and came back to the car and handed candy out with me. There was tons of people there and we used up all candy, so we had no candy for Halloween. We had to turn off all our lights and hind upstairs till the kids went to bed. This year Luke was Iron man and Samantha was a little witch.

It looks like Luke is trying to karate kick the pumpkins.

So done with the picture taking.
Always will to put on a smile and take a pic

A visit from Alan's family and Strep throat

About 3 weeks ago we had a visit from Linda, David, Mark, Mike, and Danny and I got strep for the first time. I didn't get strep from them though. They came into town on Saturday night and a couple of days before that I started not feeling so great. The morning after they got into town which was Sunday I coughed up some phylum that had blood in it and then went to urgent care. I usually don't go to the doctor but because of the blood I thought I should go which is a good thing because it turned out to be strep. I'm glad I went at the beginning of their trip so I could enjoy their visit. Unfortunately later that week Alan and two of his brothers got strep. We still had a great time. We didn't do a whole lot but the 3rd to the last day they were here we went to Corpus Christi.

Preschool

Luke started preschool this week! At first we weren't going to do preschool. I was going to teach him at home and then we would put him in sports or dance class or something else, but a woman in our ward who has taught preschool before started a preschool in her home. The price was right, the amount of days he would be going was perfect and the schedule was good, so we signed Luke up. He goes 2 days a week, Monday and Wednesday, from 9 to 12.
I forgot the teacher had a dog, so Luke freaked out the first day. Once she put the dog in a different room Luke calmed down. It was a struggle to get him to go the next day. Once he was there he had a great day. I hope that being in a home with a dog on a regular bases will maybe help Luke become less scared of dogs. We are so excited for Luke.
