Family visit

Monday Nov. 24 Alan's brothers Mark and Joe and Joe's wife Kristi with their new baby David arrived for Thanksgiving. To our surprise Alan's mom, dad and brothers Mike and Dan decided to come for Thanksgiving too, they arrived on Wednesday, so Alan's whole family was here for thanksgiving. We had a great time. Here are some pictures of baby Davey.

Girls night out

Saturday Nov. 22 my friends and I went out on another girls night out. The boys and kids stayed at my house again and played video games. We went to Red Robin for dinner and then went to a 10 P.M. showing of the much anticipated Twilight movie. I had heard mixed reviews and so I built my self up to thinking that the movie wasn't going to be that great and to my happy surprise it was really good. The special affects and some of the filming could of been better, but they didn't have the greats filming budget, so that was kind of understanding. It was just cool to see these characters in motion that I have been imaging in my head for so long as I've been reading the books. I can't wait for the next one.

Thanksgiving Blessings

It being Thanksgiving and all today, I thought I would take some time and write a quick list of the things I'm thankful for and have been blessed with in my life. Here it is, not in any particular order.

  1. The gospel, I am not always the most diligent member with my prayers, scripture reading and other day to day things that it takes to stay a strong member, but I know that this is were my family and I are suppose to be.
  2. Alan, He is such a kind, hard working man. He his a wonderful husband and father.
  3. Luke and the baby, I have many flaws when it comes to being a mom, but I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have to be a mom. It is such a big job that Heavenly father has trusted me with. I am sorry that I take it for granted some times, when I know a few women who are so willing to be in my position in a heart beat, for one reason or another.
  4. Alan's job and the material things we have because of it, No Texas was not at the top of my list of places to end up. I did have a hard time for a while when we moved and I think if I can just get past the whole weather thing it will be even easier. Moving here has brought us many blessing though. I am so grateful for the financial security Alan's job has brought to our lives and I am grateful that Alan has a job that he loves so much.
  5. Family, It has been harder then I thought it would be to be this far away for family and miss you all greatly. I am very grateful to the Wilson's for making this move easier on us and taking us into their family.

These are just a few and important things that I am grateful for. I have been blessed with so much and in so many ways that it would take forever to list them all.

Pregnancy

On Sunday I will have exactly 2 months till my due date January 23, Yea! This week I have felt more pregnant then I have ever felt before except for when I was sick. For what ever reason I have felt so big this week and I'm not that big (sorry for no pictures yet) and I still have two months to get bigger. I guess I have been so busy getting our house ready for family and not only having to figure out what I'm going to be cooking for Thanksgiving and making a list for that, but also coming up with a regular menu of meals for that week and just being busy with other stuff, I have just become so exhausted, I some times feel Like I can't catch my breath. Alan has been helping, but there is only so much he can do since he is at work all day, which has become very busy for him. I'm just going to have to put some things on the back burner and try to just take a break. I don't want to complain to much, because I'm really excited that our family is coming to town and I am so excited to see our new nephew David Chase. I'll will try to get some side view shots up of my belly soon.

No such luck

No such luck with the potty training. It went well for about 2 days, Sunday and Monday and then nothing after that. Every time I tried to get him to sit on the toilet he would put up a big fight even when I reminded him about the candy. When Alan would come home from work Luke would show some kind of interest and would try to go once for Alan, but that was it. I even went as far as just putting him in a pair of pants with no diaper or training pants and when he went pee he just said yew and walked away, he didn't care to be changed, so I don't think he is quiet ready. We will just save the pull-ups and buy some diapers this weekend. :(

Luke and the toilet

We started potty training Luke today, Yea! We had bought a big box of diapers from Sam's club and it finally ran out on Saturday, so we decided to go a head and buy some pull-ups. So far so good he went potty twice this morning before church and one time after that he told Alan he need to go, but didn't end up doing anything. We are using candy as a bribe, but I figure that's okay for now we need to just get him familiar with the whole process of going on the toilet. I'm going to keep up with it, but I'm not in any hurry. If he learns before the baby is born great if not that's okay too.

Pregnancy update

I had a doctors appointment this week. I am at 29 weeks, not to much longer. I haven't gained alot of weight, Yea! The best news from the whole appointment is, I don't have Gestational Diabetes Yea!!! I had it with Luke and all though I didn't gain hardly any weight because of the diet I was on, I couldn't really eat any sweets. I'm still going to watch my weight though.
The doctor was alot better this time, so that's good. I think he is just really bored with his work and I know that doesn't give him the right to treat me the way he did, but it makes me more understanding.
