Samantha's Birthday!

For Sammy's birthday this year Alan made her one of her favorite meals, big breakfast, she loves eggs. We opened her presents after dinner and then went out to ice cream at Baskin Robbins.

Luke drew her a pretty picture and gave it to her for her birthday.

My mom bought Sammy a cute outfit and dress from old navy.

Beautiful dress from Alan's mom.

Since it was just Christmas we thought Sammy had gotten plenty of toys, so we bought her an outfit and some books. She is very into Disney princesses and her favorite one right now is Snow White.

Happy Birthday!!!!!!

Samantha turns 3 today!! I can't believe that she is really that old. She is still our smileys, but she for sure has a 3 year old attitude and the whining and crying that goes with a little girl. She has brought so much joy to our lives. Words can't express how much I love her. She will always be our baby girl.

Christmas!

We had a very nice Christmas here at our home in Texas. After much pleading from Alan, his family surprised us and drove down from Colorado Springs to spend Christmas with us. They arrived the Thursday before Christmas and left the following Thursday. Alan's parents and two of his brothers, Mark and Danny. We bought a train to go around the Christmas tree, the kids loved it. The day that we were suppose to go get a Christmas tree I was really sick and so I told Alan that he could take the kids to Target and get a fake tree, which I was very much against, but his was a good husband and came back with a real one. We had fun playing games and eating way to much junk food.

Alan and the kids decorated a ginger bread train that my mom sent us.

Any time we asked Samantha what she wanted for Christmas she would say a pink Kitchen. We already have a play kitchen, but we found this little stove set with a couple of shelves that can sit on top of table, that happen to be pink.

# 3 is on his way!

I know it's been forever since I've updated this blog, but I've a had a bit of an excuse. I've been growing this baby boy for almost 24 weeks! I am still sick and have been alternating between just dealing with it and taking nausea medicine that make me instantly fall asleep. Also it being my third pregnancy I've been dealing with more aches and pains then I ever did with the 2 pregnancies before and my doctor has assured me that is perfectly normal with a third pregnancy. I'm so excited to be able too say for the first time that we are almost 100% sure about the sex of this baby, we even have proof. Baby Boy arrives at the end of April!

Trans siberian orchestra

The Thursday before Christmas Alan and I saw the Trans Siberian Orchestra at the At&t center. We had  great seats and were close enough to feel the fire they used in parts of the show, you might of been able to feel it in the whole arena, but we did have great seats. We missed the first half hour due to traffic. From our exit to the arena  it took us an hour to get there.

San Antonio Earthquake

That's right, we had an earthquake on Thursday morning (around 7:15am).  Alan was at work and he felt his seat move slightly and said he felt a little dizzy.  At first he thought it was just him, but then he saw others stand up and say "did you feel that"?  The earthquake was a 4.8 magnitude, lasted for about 3 seconds and did no damage in San Antonio to our knowledge.  We thought these pictures were funny and fitting for the rare earthquake we had in San Antonio... I guess the last one we had like this was in 1993 and was just as insignificant.  Honestly I don't even think this earthquake could have knocked over a lawn chair.

Luke's first day!

Luke started kindergarten this week. I really don't feel old enough to have a child in school, but we have finally gotten to that point in our lives. He did great on the first day. No crying or anything like that. He did get a little upset when Alan told him Monday night that he had to go back to school the next day. He did well for three days and then this morning he had a really bad morning. He cried all morning saying he didn't want to go and kept dragging his feet while he was getting ready. The teacher sends home a report of how they do each day and for the first day 2 day he got a green star, but yesterday he got a yellow happy face because he had to be warned to stop talking. He was really unhappy about that and thought that the teacher didn't like him and his class, so he was scared to go today, but when I dropped him off he went to class just fine. He is Oscar the grouch when he gets home, but we try to be understanding since I'm sure having to behave all day at school can be pretty hard for a 5 year old. Samantha has missed Luke all week. She was the one that cried on Monday when we dropped him off. I'm trying to make her time with me fun since this will be her only time in her life that she will have me all to herself, all day.
