I'm Back

I hate people who update their back round on their blog, but don't bother actually updating the info on the blog, sorry that's what I have been doing. I had good intentions of writing when I got on, but something else would always come up or I just didn't feel like it, but I'm back now, I can't promise that this blog will be updated as often as it use to be, but I'll do what I can.

Thanks to those 5 people who had faith that we would some day have a little girl and voted for a girl on our poll a while back. My heart just swelled in the delivery room when Alan told me that it was a girl, I love Luke very much and would have loved another baby boy, but now we have one of each and I feel very satisfied. I was upset about the tear, but recovery has been alot better this time around and I'm actually feeling pretty good now. I am very happy to be home. I've been a little weepy not because of depression, but because of worrying. I worry alot, is she okay, shes been sleeping to long or not enough, what was that noise she just made, etc.. We have a baby monitor, but even when its on I still have to go in some times and make sure she is okay. I wish I could just hold her all day. I worry about Luke too and about the house work.

Samantha is doing well. We had some problems last week with nursing, so I went to see a Lactation consultant I didn't really like her or the way she taught, she helped us in one really important way and now we are doing alot better. I've decided I'm not going to worry so much about when or how much or how often she eats. I figure she know when she is hungry and that's when I'll feed her. As long as she is pooping and peeing often, she is fine and she is doing great in both of those departments. She still is having trouble with her tummy because of poop, but I've read that, that is normal and I think Luke had some similar problems. She hasn't been sleeping very well the past couple of nights, but she is a baby.

Alan went back to work this week and I miss him alot, so does Luke. Alan has been so helpful around here, I couldn't ask for a better husband. On Monday Alan got his yearly review. The scale they use is BE below expectation, PM partially met, ME met expectations, EE exceeded, and FE far exceeded expectations. Alan got the Highest rating, can you believe that, he is so awesome and I'm so proud of him. This means that he got an awesome raise, which couldn't come at a better time. We have started the process of buying a house, YAY! We made a list of about 10 homes we would like to see and we just put in an application to get a realtor. Hopefully we will start looking soon.

We have gotten some bad news about some family and friends being sick this week and we want them to know how much we love and care about them. They are in our prayers.
Sorry for the long post.

Sorry, I wasn't one of those people that believed you would have a girl, but I am glad you did! She is so cute! Keep up the good work. Also, don't worry about the housework, at least until Samantha is 2 or 3 months old. I am diffenatly going to use a Latation consulant next time, I am glad it worked out for you! Keep the pictures coming!
