New ward

Its official, Sunday was our first Sunday in our new ward the San Antonio 2nd ward. Our old ward the San Antonio 8th ward split on August 3. I am not thrilled about this, in fact I am very upset. I had finely got comfortable in our ward and had made some friends. Luke was at the point where we could probably leave him in nursery by him self. Now we have to start all over again with him. It's not a complete new ward because we are lucky and some of our friends from the other ward transferred over with us. I am especially happy that our good friends the Eddington's transferred with us. Even though we still have some of our friends, on Sunday As I was sitting in church during sacrament meeting looking around at all the new faces, I couldn't stop my self from crying, maybe its the pregnancy maybe not who knows. I think it's going to take me a while to get adjusted.

Then choose your favorite image from the first page of results only. You get some fun and often CRYPTIC answers. I'm not going to tag any one, but it would be fun to see some of your answers. Friday Twilight Paty

You probably noticed that I left a day out of the week and if you didn't then you need to re-learn the days of the week. I did this because other then finding out on Sunday that we might not be in our ward any more Friday was our most eventful day of the week.
I'll try to make this story short. When Alan started at USAA there was a few other guys that started with him from BYU-Idaho. Alan and this group of guys usually eat lunch with each other along with other BYU-I guys that graduated before them. One of the guys that graduated before them named Jamie asked the rest of them if their wives were into this series of books called Twilight and all of them of course answered yes. Jamie's wife was planning a Twilight party for the night August 1st the night before the new book was to be released. Morgan, his wife had given him enough invitations for all of the wives of the BYU-I guys. She had invited us along with some girls from her ward. Morgan was kicking Jamie and their two kids out of the house, so I told Alan to invite them over to our house. The night turned out to be a guys night with the kids at our house and a girls night out at Morgans house.
Jamie, his 2 kids and Colin came over to our house it was supposed to be more guys but the rest couldn't come. Just on a side note I have to tell a cute story about Luke. We had to set up our pack and play in our room for Jamie's 10 month old son so he could sleep. We told Luke that a baby was coming over and was going to sleep in this crib. He got so excited. He couldn't stop talking about the baby. Alan told me that when they came Luke just started patting the babies head and talking to the baby. The baby woke up once while they were their and Luke tried to run to our room so he could comfort the baby. I hope that this is a good sign that Luke will love our new baby. My friend Laura ( pronounced Loud-a because she is from Costa Rica) Colin's wife and I got picked up at 7:30 that night by my other friends Lindsay and Audrey. We picked up one more girl Allie and arrived at Morgan's house at 8:00. We had alot of fun. We ate really good food, played Twilight Cranium that Morgan had made up, watched trailers of the movie coming out in December and talked about the books. At around 11:30 we left to go check out the line of people that were waiting at Barnes and Noble to get their copy of the new book at midnight. It was crazy, there was about 200 to maybe 300 people waiting in line. Two of my friends wanted to buy the book that night so they got in line. We thought it would take for ever but once it turned midnight that line got shorter and shorter real fast. That night we got home at about 1 in the morning, but it was so worth it.

Thursday, Saturday & Sunday

On Thursday I took Luke to our ward play group. This time it was at a local McDonald's. I think this is kind of weird because I feel like if you're not going to buy anything you probably shouldn't go and play on their toys, but some people did buy stuff, like us and others didn't so I guess it was okay. There was this statue of Ronald McDonald sitting on a bench and Luke was so scared of it. I tried to get him to sit next to him and he was like no, no, until we had to go home. Luke wanted me to take a picture of him so bad that I actually got him to sit down on the bench next to it. I also went to another doctors appointment. Everything is going well. I heard the baby's heart beat for the first time. Oh it sounded so sweet. On Saturday we went and saw WALL-E. Luke did really good till about the last 10-15 minutes and then Alan had to take him out, it was kind of understandable because there wasn't alot of action or talking in the movie, so that probably wasn't very fun for Luke. We thought the movie was okay, but not something we would want to own, after the movie we went to the Olive Garden, it was so good. On Sunday they made an official announcement in our ward that they were going to re-align the ward bounders of our ward and 3 others. This rumor had been going around since the first month we moved into the ward, but its official now. I knew we were probably not going to be in the ward any more just because of where our apartment is located. After church we went to our friends the Wilson's house for dinner, they're really our family away from family here in Texas, but that's another story. Brother Wilson is the ward mission leader and he told us that he heard from a very good source that we were officially no longer in the ward. We asked him how sure was he and he said based on his source 98%. We were suppose to go to a meeting that night to find out, but Alan didn't want to go, so instead we went to our friends house that are in our ward and played games. This week I will have to call the Wilson's and ask what the verdict is.

Our busy week

Before I update you on all of our fun adventures last week I just have to say it, Breaking Dawn is here! I am so excited! The fourth book of the twilight series by Stephenie Meyer came out on Saturday. I pre ordered my copy from Amazon so I don't get it till today and this time I promise I won't neglect Luke. Yea! Anyway, so about our week. There is this movie theater near us that shows free kid movies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I know how great is that. The movies are ones that have already been out on DVD, but its still fun for the kids to go and have the movie theater experience. On Tuesday we saw Alvin and the Chipmunks, Luke loved the music and the chipmunks, he is getting alot better about actually siting and watching the movies. On Wednesday I was going to take Luke to the other free movie they were showing, but that didn't really work out. Lately Luke has been having a hard time with Alan going to work in the mornings. We can usually calm him down if we walk Alan part way to work, but on Wednesday we couldn't because I wasn't feeling good. The minute Alan walked out the door at 7:45 Luke just started balling, he was laying next to the door calling Daddy, Daddy. He cried like that from 7:45 to about 9:15 or 9:30. He wouldn't let me get him dressed or anything, I really couldn't even touch him. The movie started at 10:00, so we ended up not going. He did finally calm down I think only because he was hungry. We haven't had that happen again, well not to that extent. I'm glad Luke loves his dad.
