Swim Time

The Pool is right next to our apartment, which has its advantages and disadvantages. Obviously we like that its so close, we walk right out our door and there it is. The one big disadvantage though, is the late night pool parties. Now that the kids are out of school we've been having problems with the teenagers staying in the pool and making a lot of noise till 12 to 2 in the morning sometimes, there was even one day when we had people come out at 4 in the morning. Our bedroom windows are right next to the pool and I mean right next to the pool, there is maybe 8 feet from the pools edge to our windows, but these late night parties usually only happen about 3 times a week, so for the rest of the week we love our pool very much. Luke is finally getting use to the water and shouts for joy when we tell him we're going swimming, he even likes going under water.

The Tooth Brush

Oh the joy of a tooth brush. I Have finally turned a corner. I am 15 weeks pregnant and feeling great. Three days in a row I have been able to brush my teeth in the morning without feeling like throwing up or actually throwing up. Yea! I finally have my appetite back, I can eat! Yesterday for family night we went out with some friends to a buffet called Souper Salad. The restaurant was having its 30th anniversary and it was only $3.49 per person all day. It was really good and what a great place to go after not being able to eat for so long. Luke still has an icky nose, but it is getting better and we hope in a couple of day it will be complete gone.

Feeling not so good

Luke woke up Monday with an icky stuffy nose and a slight cough, I knew right away that this was going to be bad since Luke insists on sharing everything I drink, and I was right. At the beginning of this week I was kind of starting to feel better except for the first couple of hours in the morning, (which are still really bad), then on Tuesday I started to feel kind of achy. Apparently Luke and I caught a cold at nursery or from our friends kids. We both have gotten progressively worse through out the week. It is now Friday and Luke's nose is so gross and I'm functioning, but life goes on so I'm sure we will still do something fun this weekend.

Rain

Yesterday was a beautiful rainy day here in San Antonio. We had our first real full day of rain on Thursday since Alan and I have moved here. This is probably due to hurricane Dolly. Its rained maybe three times before but they were just 10-2o min spurts and that was it for the day. I was so happy to see the rain. That probably sounds weird, but it didn't rain much in Rexburg and being from Washington I feel like I am in need of more rain then most people. Luke and I did have a scary experience in the rain though, when I had to drive to the store in it. It was pouring and I had to turn the windshield wipers on high. Just before we had to turn on the street that the grocery store is on the windshield wiper on the drivers side broke and was no longer clearing the rain off. So here I am driving on a very busy road that is extremely slick, I can't see anything in front of me and Luke is yelling at me from his car seat. I was frazzled. I knew we couldn't make it to the store, so I found a place to turn around. I moved into the right hand lane so people could pass, but the problem with that was the right lane was full of water, so not only is it pouring but the car is just getting covered by the big puddles of water. I had to go about 25 mph on a 45 mph to make it home safely, but we did make it home and I still like the rain.

First Date

On Saturday Alan and I went on our first date since our anniversary on April 2nd. I know, how pathetic. We have lots of excuses but that's just what they are excuses. My cousin Aaron and his wife Rebeca were kind enough to watch Luke for us. We were so excited to finely go out without Luke. We went to a 10:30 A.M. showing of The Dark Knight. It was an awesome movie! We loved it! You all need to go see it. In total we ended up Leaving Luke for 3 and a half hours. They said he cried for about 10 min. and then did fine after that. Thanks again Aaron and Rebeca. Some advise for all of you who don't have kids yet, just had one or are pregnant with your first, make sure you have your child babysat as soon as possible.

Little Boys

Here are some pictures of Luke being a mischievous boy. He did turn 2 in May, but I don't think this is the terrible twos. I just chalk it up to him being a boy.

Luke and his buddy split a big bowl of M&Ms on the floor under our friends dinning room table. Instead of picking them all up of the floor we told them to just eat them. Talk about sugar high.

A few days ago Alan and I were sitting on the couch when things got really quiet and for those of you with kids you know that when it all the sudden gets quiet that's not a good thing. I asked Alan to go find Luke. He starts looking and when he gets to our bedroom I here him calling me. This is the sight I see when I go to the room. I couldn't help my self I had to laugh. Alan just walks away like he is mad, but when I went to go see what he was doing he was in our walk-in closet just laughing his head off. Oh don't we just love our little boys.

New Edition to our Family

Here is our first picture of our little bean sprout. Yes we our pregnant. We are so excited, including Luke! I am 12 weeks and 3 days along and the baby is due on January 23, 2009. I haven't been feeling so great most of this pregnancy and I have been really worried about Luke. Luke for the most part has been stuck indoors and stuck with playing by himself until Alan gets home. A friend of ours told me that he most likely wont remember this time of his life, so I pray that that's true and that I will start feeling better a lot sooner then I did with Luke.
