Christmas Day

On Christmas we opened presents at our house and then went over to the Wilson's house for the rest of the day.
The presents we got for Christmas just to name a couple, were obviously the biggest one for me was having Alan get a new diamond for my wedding ring, but I also got a book shelf from Alan that I've been asking for since we moved here, we got a gift card from my mom for a new baby swing, I got an ipod shuffle from Alan's parents and Alan got me a spa package with 5 appointments to use after the baby is born.
Alan got 3 new video games, and a U2 book. Luke got a wooden train set, a bowling set, a tool set, and lots of books and movies. We received many more gifts then this. Thank for all the presents and thank you for all the Christmas card that were sent to us.

This is Luke after we got home from the Wilson's at about 9, with hardly any sleep during the night and no nap during the day. He didn't even wake up when I changed his diaper and got his pj's on and of course he still woke up in the middle of the night.

Christmas Eve

Christmas eve we went to a Christmas part at Rebeca Wilson's house, the Wilson's oldest child. We had a really nice time. There was good food and we did a white elephant gift exchange. When we went back home we opened up our Christmas PJ's.

Alan sleeps in basketball shorts and I didn't get him new ones last year, so he was so excited to get some this year.

Christmas blunders

We had three Christmas blunders this year.

1. We bought our real Christmas tree the week after Thanksgiving. One week after we got it home it stopped drinking water. We forgot to get a fresh cut on it, so by the time Christmas rolled around our tree was petrified, it still was green though.

2. I bought Luke 2 pairs of PJ's for Christmas eve, the ones I had him open were Winnie the pooh snow flake PJ's. Well, when I was putting them on we notice that there was some pink on the pants and then when I put the shirt on the neck of the shirt was pink. Alan checked the packaging and sure enough they were girl PJ's, so Luke spent Christmas morning in girl PJ's.

3. Christmas eve night Luke woke up at 1:30 and refused to go back to bed in his crib. I didn't want him in bed all night with us, so he screamed for about a half hour while we tried to get him to sleep on the floor in our room. He finally did, but of course at some point he did end up in our bed. On top of that some one was having a fiesta party right out side our window at three in the morning. We basically got no sleep Christmas eve night and Alan still got us up at 7 to open presents.

Christmas weather

Okay so for all of those people who have been complaining about it snowing where they live and how cold it is all I have to stay to you is, that's how the weather is suppose to be in December and especially for Christmas.
It was a whopping 80 degrees here yesterday. It is not suppose to be 80 degrees in December this is so wrong. We have had some cold days, we did have an ice storm one day and the high is only suppose to be 48 today and 42 tomorrow, so it does get cold here, which has changed my feelings about living here, but according to the weather report on Christmas eve it will be 74 and on Christmas day it will be 77 can you believe that. I really don't want Rexburg weather, but I would gladly take some kind of snow or cold weather for Christmas.

USAA Christmas party

Saturday night Alan and I went to Alan's work party at the Alamo Dome, a big arena in down town San Antonio. USAA chartered buses to drive us down town. There was good food and awesome entertainment. USAA hired Lone star and Sticks to play. We had a great time.

The sweetest husband in the world

If you all remember a while back I lost the diamond to my ring. The diamond and all the prongs had just broken off. Well this past week I actually lost my ring, my entire ring! I had been happy earlier saying at least I have the original band. But I went and lost that too. Actually I was pretty sure Luke had taken it, so I have been not so happy with Luke this week.

Well my sweet, sweet husband Surprised me this morning with an early Christmas present. My ring, with a new diamond and prongs!
