More on Cape Cod

The weather in Cape Cod wasn't the greatest when all we wanted to do was swim everyday but it felt great too me after being in 105 degree heat for the past month in Texas, we even got a rain storm when we stayed in a hotel friday night when we first arrived and on one of the other mornings the lights even went out at 5:30 in the morning for about three hours, but of course the weather didn't stop the guys. I was kind of bummed out that I missed out on swimming partly by choice, but alot because of the weather. We went to long pond, (which is really a big lake, I think the east coast got a little confused), on Saturday the first day we were on the Cape but I didn't get in all the way because of Samantha. The three other times they went it was rainy and I didn't think I would be a good mom if I took Samantha out in the cold rain to go swimming.
We did go to Nauset beach which is on the Atlantic ocean and about 45 mins. from where we stayed on Monday and I got some great swimming in. I love being in the ocean and in the waves. I've grown up going to the Organ coast with my dad's side of the family and we would always go wave jumping in the pacific ocean. The Atlantic is warmer then the pacific.
On Tuesday I stayed home with the kids and Mom and Dad Chase while Joe and Kristi were in New York and the boys were at long pond. Mom came down and told me they had to go out for a little while. I asked her where they were going and she had to write me a note to tell me that Mark had cut is foot at long pond, went to the ER and needed his wallet for his insurance card, so that Luke wouldn't hear Marks name and want to go with because Luke is pretty much attached to Mark's hip. I was so worried, but thank goodness Mark only needed to get 4 stitches, but he also wasn't allowed to get it wet for 10 days, that took a bite out of the fun. On Friday though there was a surf advisory at nauset beach so Mark broke down, put a bandage on his foot, wrapped it in duct tape and wore water shoes so he could have one last hay day with his bros. Here are some pics from our trip to Nauset.

Rocky has always been so good with Alan and his brothers. Alan and I have always said that he would be a great dad and now he has little Brady or Boy as he affectionately calls him. He is so attentive with him and it was so sweet to see the way he interacted with Samantha.
