Yesterday was the first official day of Fall, I'm so excited. I love the fall. I love the colors, the smells, the holidays and the weather. A couple of weeks ago Alan and I were talking about the weather and how it was still really hot and it was September. As I was laying in bed that night, I know this was probably because of the pregnancy, I started thinking about the weather and started to cry. Like I said before, I love the Fall and now that we are living in Texas I knew I wasn't going to get the Fall I was use to living in Rexburg for the past few years and growing up in Washington. The chill in the air in the morning, the sudden change in the colors of the leaves, the rain and everything else. The leaves do change colors here because that is a tree thing, but its not as fast. I love just curling up in a blanket and sitting on the couch at night, I love bundling up when we go outside. I asked some friends when does it get cold here and they said we were still swimming at Halloween. I guess that is a good thing about living here, for Halloween you don't have to worry about rain proofing your kids costume like in Washington or making sure that they are warm enough like in Rexburg, they can ware what ever they want here. I'm happy to say though, since having that conversation with Alan and crying about the weather, last week there was a drop in the temperature for a couple of days and it is cooling of at night and we have been able to have our windows open. It is finally getting bearable to take Luke outside for longer then just a few minutes. It may not be the fall I am use to but at least it is no longer super hot.
